LASAP offers the following benefits to support you as a TRIO Advocate for low-income, first-generation, disabled and Veterans students. The LASAP Board strives to serve you with benefits that matter to you, your career, and your commitment to learn, teach, and lead.

LASAP TRIO provides networking opportunities that include assistance and exchange best practices to foster target populations to persist in achieving their goals.
Free professional development for members only.
Members only rate for LASAP conference.
Members only rate for ads and exhibits.
Members can serve as readers for LASAP scholarship competition.
Access to Members Only information.
Development of LASAP newsletter and TRIO Factbook.
TRIO updates from regional and national organizations.
Students will have the ability to apply for scholarship, and participate in youth leadership development activities.

Active Member - $40.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Active membership shall be open to all professionals currently or formerly employed by educational opportunity programs (TRIO) who hold current membership in Louisiana Association of Student Assistance Programs.
Active members have voice and vote in the Association.
Membership fee includes a 3% credit card processing fee.

Active Members of LASAP are the voice that guides the future of educational opportunity in Louisiana. Active Members have full access to the new resources available at members-only LASAP Connect website. Other benefits are professional development opportunities, webinars, access to scholarship announcements, inclusion in the LASAP Newsletter and Louisiana TRIO factbook. Finally, active members are eligible for discount registration for all LASAP events.

Associate Member - Not employed by TRIO Program - $30.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Any person interested in student assistance programs who is not employed by a TRIO program or persons who are employed 50 percent or less by a TRIO program. As voting members Associate Members have a voice in guiding the future of the organization.

Honorary Non Member - Free Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Any appropriate business, person, industry, foundation, or other organization whose goals and interests prompt them to make a substantial contribution either in general support of the Association or in support of special projects of the Board. The Board of Directors shall establish selection criteria for Honorary Membership. Honorary members are to receive recognition as deemed appropriate by the Board.

Presidents of institutions that are Institutional Members of the Council for Opportunity of Education (COE) are automatically Honorary Members of the Association. Honorary members are entitled to a voice in the Association; however, they may not vote.

TRIO Student/ALUMNI Membership (non TRIO professionals) - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Current TRIO participants are a powerful voice for educational opportunity and are affiliated with the programs that serve them.
